ENROLL A CHILD

Serving Plano, McKinney, Allen, Frisco and Richardson

The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural desire to learn.

MISSION STATEMENT

RESPECT THE CHILD

FOSTER INDEPENDENCE

To develop the whole child by providing an authentic Montessori education in a loving and nurturing environment, where children have the freedom to explore and learn, develop social skills and grow into independent, self confident individuals who are able to excel in all their endeavors.

PREPARED ENVIRONMENT

FOSTER INDEPENDENCE

Everything about a Montessori classroom fosters independence. You first start with the classroom that is prepared to allow the child to do for themselves what an adult would often do for a child.  This allows children to develop pride when they  “do it themselves” without asking for help from an adult. A Montessori classroom provides a prepared environment where children are able to develop independence.

BALANCED

Our staff strives to bring out the best in our students by balancing the Montessori method with the traditional approach thus preparing the children for public or private schools in the later years.

MIXED AGES

Mixed age groups not only offer a wide range of activities to spark children’s interests they also enable children to learn from others and by helping others.

FREEDOM

Freedom for children to work at their own pace, without interruption, choosing from a wide range of activities that are developmentally challenging and appropriate.

RESPECT

Respect each child as an individual personality with unique talents and teach them to respect others, their community and the environment around them.

GREAT ACTIVITIES

Precious Beginnings Montessori Academy offers a variety of fine arts, foreign language and fitness programs such as Music, Science Lab, Computer Lab, Yoga, and Spanish classes, which are part of our curriculum.

The Montessori Classroom

- Bree Van Nes

A Montessori class is like no other,
Calm and peaceful, neutral in color
Amazing materials to challenge the mind,
And countless opportunities to grow and to shine,

A harmonious tone, where grace and courtesy are seen,
Children helping, children learning, exploring why leaves are green,
A joyous community where independence abounds,
Learning through the senses, sandpaper letters to learn the sounds,

Learning about the continents, working with landforms too,
Learning the parts of an insect, persevering to tie your shoe,
Pushing in your chair, rolling up your mat,
Using the Moveable Alphabet to spell the word, ‘c-a-t’

An environment where children work at their own pace,
Discovering, exploring, no pressure to win the race,
A philosophy that helps children be all they can be,
Guiding their learning by following their lead,
Intrinsically motivated,
Independent too,
The power of the absorbent mind
Soaking up knowledge through and through
